Alias was once king of a pride, he had a mate and 3 cubs. He was a calm, social, loving being. One day a pack of unruly wolves came and attacked, killing off most of his pride including his mate and cubs. Being the only one left alive, he now has to be faced with the reality of forming a new pride. He has trouble showing emotion and can be very hostile. At night he dreams of his mate’s death and is trying his best to move on from it. Will he be able to rule his new pride or will it just be a constant reminder of his family’s death?
Alias: King- Lion
- He is the ruler of a new pride and is trying to move on from the death of his previous pride, but struggles to maintain his feelings and emotions. This can cause rifts in the order of their land and recruiting other lions or lioness.
Nandi: Pride Member- Lioness
- A lioness who was cast out from her own pride due to corrupt rule and sacrifice. She was accused of stealing food in a famine and was exiled accordingly. She was in love with a pride member but in the end, he could not stand up against the majority and cast her out as well. Now faced with being alone, she wandered for many days and nights until coming across Alias, and joining him to form a new pride. Nandi found their new home and led them to safe, quite lands.
Homelands: Nandi travelled for some time until she found an unclaimed valley with 2 watering holes, a large cave and several dens. They looked to be abandoned grounds, perfect for housing their growing pride. She had great fortune on their side and has since helped claim them in the name of Alias and his soon to be newly formed pride.
Struggles a new Pride must face:
- Maintaining order
- Fathering offspring
- Finding a queen (if so desired)
- Recruiting trustworthy lions or lioness
- Struggling with his emotions and not projecting them onto the pride
- Getting enough to eat
